Careers

Build the thingyou needed

We are a small team of designers, engineers, data people and counsellors working on one problem: making the path to studying abroad legible to every student who wants to walk it.

The work

What you would actually be doing

No layers between you and the student. Everyone here talks to the people we build for.

01

Products students choose on their own

Not enterprise software someone is forced to use. Consumer-grade tools that have to earn their place on a student’s phone against everything else competing for that attention.

02

Real data, real constraints

107,853 programs that have to stay accurate, on a mid-range phone, on a patchy connection, for someone deciding where the next decade of their life happens.

03

Decisions you can see the end of

Small team, short path from idea to shipped. What you build this month is in front of students this quarter, not queued behind three layers of approval.

How we hire

Four steps, no games

We hire slowly and read everything. Here is the whole process, so you know what you are agreeing to before you start.

01

You send your work

Portfolio, repository, writing, whatever represents you best — plus a few lines on what you would build first. A human reads it. We reply either way.

02

A conversation

Forty-five minutes on what you have built and what you want to build. You should leave knowing as much about us as we know about you.

03

A paid exercise

A small, real problem from our actual backlog, scoped to about a day. We pay for your time. No unpaid take-homes, no whiteboard trivia.

04

A decision

You meet the people you would work with, we make a call within a week, and we tell you why either way.

What we look for

  • Work you can point at and explain the reasoning behind
  • Comfort with ambiguity — most problems here arrive undefined
  • A bias toward talking to the student rather than assuming
  • Care about the person on a slow connection with an old phone

Open roles

Where we need people

  • Own the end-to-end design of student-facing flows, from the first search to the offer.

    What you would do

    • Design flows across web and mobile where the student has no guidance and still has to know what to do next
    • Work directly from student interviews and application walkthroughs rather than from a feature list
    • Hold the visual system across products as the network grows
    • Prototype against the real catalogue, never against invented sample data

    What we are looking for

    • A portfolio of shipped product work, with the reasoning behind the decisions
    • Strength in information-dense interfaces — comparison, filtering, long forms
    • Comfort designing for mid-range phones and slow connections first
    Apply for this role

How we work

The honest version

Team size

Small

Everyone is close to the student. Nobody is more than one step away from the work.

Where

Kathmandu, remote-friendly

We overlap deliberately rather than living in calendars.

Stage

Early

Gradsy is live in build. This is the part where decisions are still yours to make.

Pace

Weeks, not quarters

Small teams, real data from day one, shipped while it still matters.

Nothing here fits?

Send us your work anyway. We hire slowly, and the best people rarely arrive when a listing happens to be open. Tell us what you would build first.
